FREEPORT — Josh Zolla of Freeport and Sheri Piers of Falmouth won the foggy L.L. Bean 10K Road Race this morning.

Zolla, 25, covered the 6.2 mile-course in 32 minutes, 47 seconds to win by 37 seconds over runner-up Jonathan Kieliszak of New York City.

Piers, who finished fourth overall, was the first woman across the line, in 36:06. Second place went to Meredith Anand of Easton, Conn., in 37:21.

Hometown favorite Joan Samuelson placed third among women, in 38:59. She was 22nd overall.
