Police are searching for an Auburn man in connection with a stabbing at a Brunswick apartment early Sunday morning.

Brunswick Police said they are looking for Jamie Mondragon, 31, who they said fled the scene of a stabbing at 9 Perryman Dr. at 2 a.m.

Police said the victim, a 25-year-old woman, is being treated at Maine Medical Center for multiple stab wounds. She was in stable condition, said police, who did not release her identity.

Three small children were inside the apartment at the time of the stabbing.

Police said Mondragon fled the scene before police arrived. They said he may be operating a dark gray 2001 Lexus ES300 with Maine license plate, 6276RP. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Brunswick Police are asking anyone with information about Mondragon’s whereabouts to call Det. William Moir at 725-6623, ext. 167.
