PLYMOUTH — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an accident in which a man was killed after a car apparently fell on him.

A dispatcher for the sheriff’s department said deputies were called Wednesday evening to a residence at 237 Etna Road in Plymouth, where the accident took place.

The dispatcher did not know if the man was working underneath the vehicle at the time. The incident took place just after 5 p.m.
