The state attorney general’s office confirmed Tuesday that a Lincoln County sheriff’s deputy has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor age 14 or 15 years old.

Deputy Ken Hatch was taken into custody at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, and was released on $50,000 unsecured bail, according to the Attorney General’s Office.

He is expected to appear in court Aug. 25 at 8:30 a.m. in Wiscasset.

Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett said Hatch is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the Attorney General’s Office investigation.
