Mapped below are the registration addresses of Maine’s all-electric passenger vehicles as of May 25, 2017.

There are approximately 402 of these vehicles registered in Maine. That’s a tiny fraction of the state’s 1.3 million registered vehicles, but the figure is growing. In late 2015, when the Press Herald made a similar data request to the Secretary of State, there were about 32 Tesla Model S vehicles and 100 Nissan Leaf vehicles registered statewide; in this most recent registration data, there are 52 Tesla Model S vehicles and 149 Nissan Leafs.
