The body of a Waldoboro man missing since November has been found along the banks of the bank of the Penobscot River in Searsport, state police say.

Steven A. Reed, 64, was last seen in Bangor Nov. 4 leaving Eastern Maine Medical Center after being discharged. Police said he was an alcoholic who suffered periods of depression.

His remains were discovered May 8, and the state Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified him over the weekend and notified his relatives, police said.

Detectives from Searsport and the Maine State Police coordinated to recover his body.

His death is not considered suspicious, police said.
