FARMINGTON — The state dismissed a drug trafficking charge against a Phillips man Feb. 2 because of insufficient evidence, according to a court document.

Scott A. Pinkham, 53, was arrested in September 2019 and charged with selling suspected heroin/fentanyl, after Franklin County deputies investigated a person found unconscious Aug. 30, 2019, in Strong. Deputies used naloxone, also known as Narcan, an anti-opioid medication, to revive the person, according to Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr.’s news release in 2019.

Assistant Attorney General David Fisher signed the dismissal document.

No other information was available Thursday.
