Gibbs Library’s summer reading program officially begins Thursday, June 13, with a visit from children’s author Fran Hodgkins, at 40 Old Union Road in Washington Village.

This summer’s theme is Read, Renew, Repeat! All readers are encouraged to participate: children, teens, and yes, adults. Prizes for meeting reading and activity goals include gift certificates from Renys, Fresh Off the Farm, The Spot, and The Scoop. Prizes will be drawn at the concluding event in late August when Bess the Book Bus returns to Gibbs.

Participants can pick up their folders at Gibbs Library starting on June 13. The staff is excited about a summer full of reading (& renewing & repeating).

Library hours are 4-7 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m.-noon and 4-7 p.m. Tuesdays, 3-6 p.m. Wednesdays, and 9 a.m. to noon  Thursday and Saturday.
