CAMDEN — Midcoast Community Chorus is offering three free evening classes in reading and singing music this summer.
All classes are scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesdays in the chorus’ meeting space, 58 Bayview St. No. 5.
The first class, focusing on rhythm and tempo, will be held July 24. The second class, on July 31, will focus on the musical staff and finding pitch. A final class on Aug. 7 will provide an opportunity to learn, read and practice dynamics and musical articulation.
At the end of each class, participants will apply their skills to practice and sing a popular piece of music together.
All members of the public are welcome, regardless of age, experience or ability.
