SIDNEY — The Maine Entomological Society and Kennebec Land Trust plan to explore the world of insects at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, during the Maine Entomological Society Field Day at Reynolds Forest. The actual site is the Reynolds Forest Wildlife Management Area on West River Road.
Newcomers and more experienced entomologists alike are invited to come and learn about insect identification in this ecologically diverse conservation area, according to a news release from Marie Ring at the trust.
This permanently protected conservation property features woodlands and wetlands, 1,150 feet of stream frontage along Goff Brook, birding and productive hayfields.
Bring water, snacks, a light lunch, and dress for warm weather and ticks. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 8.
