NEWCASTLE — The Knox Lincoln County Beekeepers has planned a honey bee presentation for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Lincoln Academy’s ATEC building, 81 Academy Hill Road.
Erin Evans, a Maine master beekeeper, plans to present a talk for backyard hobby beekeepers on the process of preparing hives for winter in Maine — what to do and not do, various insulating and feeding techniques, and other activities beekeepers can do in fall and winter to make their apiary more sustainable.
