PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Richard L. Harriman, 91, of Pinellas Park, Fla., died May 19, 2025.
Richard was born in Randolph, Maine, son of Lewis and Babe (Jewett) Harriman. A graduate of Gardiner High, he learned to fly, spent a short time in the Air Force and was active in several historical societies including the exhibit at Windsor fairgrounds. He wrote many stories about the area and its people, and he enjoyed spending summers in Maine’s woods and rivers, even after he moved to Florida and retired from Florida Power Company.
He is survived by a loving family including wife, Judy; daughter, Brenda Thomann (Brad); granddaughters Brittany Dieker (Doug) and Brooke Newton (Mike); great-grandsons Jacob and Luke Dieker and Colt and Cody Newton, all of Colorado. He is also survived by stepdaughters Susan Smith (Bob) and Dina Garnatz.
A daughter, Holly Harriman, predeceased him in 2023.
