Robert Moore’s bases-clearing triple highlighted Reading’s four-run ninth inning and sent the Fightin Phils to a 5-3 win over the Portland Sea Dogs on Sunday in the teams’ series finale at Delta Dental Park at Hadlock Field.

Portland (24-18) is 1 1/2 games behind first-place Binghamton in the Eastern League’s Northeast Division standings.

Reading (16-27) rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the ninth. Moore capped the rally when he scored on a throwing error.

The Sea Dogs’ Blaze Jordan went 2 for 3 with an RBI to extend his on-base streak to 12 games. Teammate Zach Ehrhard had a pair of doubles and scored on a wild pitch.

Reading’s Travis Kuhn (4-1, 3.72 ERA) threw two innings of one-hit relief to earn the win, while Portland’s Christopher Troye (3-1, 7.82) allowed two runs over two-thirds of an inning. Sea Dogs pitchers Hayden Mullins and Jeremy Wu-Yelland combined to toss five scoreless innings while striking out four batters.

The Sea Dogs have Monday off and open a series at Altoona on Tuesday.
