One free summer concert is great. But to find a whole series of free shows would be pretty amazing, wouldn’t it?

Prepare to be amazed. We’ve found 15 free outdoor concert series scheduled around the state this summer. Some are in parks, in downtowns, along a river or by the sea. So get those lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets ready to enjoy live music in a variety of Maine’s scenic spots.

Sheepscot General Outdoor Summer Music Series

Sheepscot General Store and Farm draws big crowds to its annual summer music series. Friday nights are pizza night because a special pie made with fresh ingredients from the organic farm is on the menu. All shows start at 6 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.

The beer garden and food trucks open at 6 p.m. and the music starts at 7 p.m. During each show, a free art-making activity will be available for kids.
