Hayden Mullins allowed three hits over 6 1/3 innings as the Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Hartford Yard Goats 5-1 in the teams’ series finale Sunday at Hadlock Field.

Mullins (3-2, 2.48 ERA) struck out three batters and walked two and allowed one unearned run. Zach Bryant and Jonathan Brand combined for 2 2/3 innings of one-hit relief.

Marvin Alcantara led Portland’s offense with a two-run double as part of a four-run sixth inning. Mikey Romero also had an RBI double for the Sea Dogs (41-44).

Sean Sullivan (7-4, 2.65) took the loss for Hartford (46-41), allowing two hits and one earned run over 4 1/3 innings.
