There are plenty of activities planned this week to keep central Mainers busy.

A Seth Glier concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Opera House at Boothbay Harbor, 86 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor.

Glier has shared the bill with a diverse list of artists ranging from Ronnie Spector, James Taylor, Ani DiFranco and Glen Campbell. As a producer, music director, or studio musician he has collaborated with Sophie B. Hawkins, Tom Rush, Antje Duvekot, Richard Shindell, Doctora Qingona, Dar Williams, Nick Carter and Cyndi Lauper.

He is a five-time Independent Music Award winner and received a Grammy nomination for his album “The Next Right Thing.”

Clinton Free Summer Concert Series

The Fossils will perform at 6 p.m. Thursday at Old Mill Park, 1211 Main St., Clinton.

The Clinton Free Summer Concert Series is open to the public.

The series features a variety of musical genres, including classic rock, country and tribute acts.

Blistered Fingers Family Bluegrass Festival

Blistered Fingers Family Bluegrass Festival is celebrating the 63rd festival at the Litchfield Fairgrounds, 30 Plains Road, Litchfield; rain or shine.

The festival will feature live music Thursday through Saturday, a gospel sing-a-long and jam on Sunday morning along with field picking and informal jams throughout the festival grounds. There will be food, arts and crafts vendors available.

The Blistered Fingers Kids Academy is a free, three-day music program for children for ages 6-18.  Children can learn bluegrass music, perform on stage, make new lifetime friends and connect with a supportive community. Students can bring their own instruments. On Saturday participating children get a free T-shirt and can perform a couple of songs as a group on the Main stage.

Performers include: Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, The Gibson Brothers, Nothin’ Fancy, The Kody Norris, Dave Adkins Band, Katahdin Valley Boys, Beartracks, Back Woods Road, The Seth Sawyer Band, Robinson’s Bluegrass Gospel and Blistered Fingers.

Admission varies from $25-$40 with multi-day passes available.

Johnson Hall Free Waterfront Concert

The Tini Bikinis will take the stage at 6 p.m. Friday at the Gardiner Landing, Maine Avenue, Gardiner; rain or shine.

The band will play punk, soul and bumblegum punk tunes.

The event also offers food vendors, children’s activities like face painting and balloon animals, and more. Bring lawn chairs or blankets.

The Don Campbell Band will perform at 2 and 7 p.m. Friday at the Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Foundation, 371 Sawyer Road, Greene.

Campbell has the unique ability to sing in the tenor range of Vince Gill and Chris Isaak to the sub bass vocal range of Johnny Cash and Josh Turner. He plans to perform a mix of American crossover music, including classic covers by some of his favorite artists alongside his most requested original songs.

Windsor Fair

The Windsor Fair starts Saturday and runs through Sept. 1 at the fairgrounds located at 82 Ridge Road, Windsor.

The large central Maine agricultural fair feature events at a large exhibition hall, Rockwell Amusements midway, livestock and agricultural education, pulling events, harness racing everyday but Wednesday, live music, demolition derbies, Woodsman’s Day, Black Cat Hell Drivers Auto Stunt Thrill Show and more.

The hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day, except Labor Day when the fair ends at 6 p.m.

Skowhegan Craft Brew Festival

The Skowhegan Craft Brew Festival is scheduled for 2-7 p.m. Saturday  in downtown Skowhegan.

The festival features several craft breweries that will provide samples, food vendors, live music and more.

The Mount Vernon Community Center will host Lynn Deeves at 7 p.m. Saturday at 2 North Road, Mount Vernon.

The Maine singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist honed her stage skills on the New England high energy, rock club circuit. Her soulful vocals, wit and easeful presence have since captivated audiences around the Northeast and beyond.

Deeves has released four independent CDs and collaborated on a fifth with Maine songwriting trio “under the song tree,” along with notable performers Anni Clark and Dan Merrill. She has shared stages with Cheryl Wheeler, Janis Ian, Ellis Paul, Catie Curtis, America and many others.

A Julia Gagnon performance is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday at The Playhouse At Waterville Station, 17 Railroad Square, Waterville.

Gagnon is an up-and-coming artist known for her journey on the Emmy Award-winning show “American Idol” in its 22nd season where she placed in the top 7. She takes the stage name JUL’IA in preparation for her new album, “Wildflowers,” and album dedicated to planet earth.

Gagnon and her co-musician and writer Nate Haven both grew up on Maine’s great coast, something that inspired their writing way before the spotlight found them.

Concerts in the Park

The next Concerts in the Park event at Coburn Park features Skowhegan Community Band at 5 p.m. Sunday at the park on U.S. Route 2 in Skowhegan.

The free concerts are held every Sunday through Aug. 31.

The Maine band is known for its classic rock, country gold, hard rock, Motown, and other music spanning the 20th century.
