Having read that Joseph Ladapo, surgeon general of Florida, is pushing to remove vaccine requirements for children, I was prompted to research his credentials, which are quite impressive.
He trained at quality institutions in adult medicine, but I question his competence to advise on pediatric health issues. Florida ought to hire a board-certified pediatrician or family doctor for vaccine and pediatric advice.
Here in Maine, I urge parents to consult their children’s family physician or pediatrician for scientifically based information on the safety and effectiveness of vaccines.
