Our beautiful country is in turmoil. We are at a turning point. There is so much more that unites us than divides us. But we must remember.
I remember saying the Pledge of Allegiance in school. I remember my mother teaching me the words in preparation for kindergarten in Sangerville, Maine. “One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” When a school shooting happens, or an assassination, there is a moment, an opportunity to join hands in prayer together, to unite.
America is a great nation because we are one: indivisible. We must unite. Now is the time. If not now, when? If not us, then who? Let’s do this. One nation, under God, indivisible.
