AUGUSTA — Syntiro recently announced it now has a full team of dedicated professionals to support the needs of the 2023-30 GEAR UP Maine RISE Grant. This team is ready to partner with GEAR UP schools, students and families across Maine to deliver essential resources, guidance and opportunities for academic and career success.
Syntiro is a non-profit committed to working for equity and social justice, access and opportunities that enhance and improve education and employment outcomes.
The program, funded by a federal grant, aims to increase college and career readiness, particularly for under-served communities. With a complete and qualified staff, Syntiro plans to provide students with critical support services, including tutoring, college and career planning, mentorship, and financial aid guidance, helping to pave the way for a successful future.
The team members bring expertise in education, career planning and financial literacy, forming a well-rounded support network for Maine students. As they enter year two of the seven-year grant period, Syntiro’s staff will partner closely with eleven schools and communities to offer college and career planning resources, and community events that provide students with the skills and knowledge needed for lifelong success.
