Lorraine Couture Hopper

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Lorraine Couture Hopper, 84, of St. Augustine, Fla., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 18, 2025, at the Bailey Family Center for Caring.

Born in Augusta on Feb. 8, 1941, Lorraine grew up in Augusta and graduated from Cony High School. She later moved to Florida, where she built a life and career. Lorraine worked diligently, serving her community through positions at a local bank and later at the Motor Vehicle Department in Palatka and St. Augustine, Fla.

Lorraine had a vibrant spirit and enjoyed spending her time golfing and bowling. She was a dedicated member of the Elks Lodge for 35 years, where she generously volunteered her time. Remembered as a happy, loving, and caring person, Lorraine had a special gift for bringing smiles to the faces of those around her.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Ralph A. Hopper; her sister, Cecile, and her brother, Paul, who preceded her in death.

Lorraine’s memory will be cherished by her surviving family, her sons Michael and Dennis; her grandchildren, Brianna and Dylan; her siblings, Joseph, Gil, and Madelene, and her sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Elise. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., on Monday, April 28, at St. Johns Family Funeral Home.
