NORTH ANSON The Carrabec softball team responded to a 3-1 deficit with nine unanswered runs Thursday to beat Forest Hills 10-3 in East/West Conference action.

Jillian Robinson struck out eight batters for the Cobras (6-0) while allowing no earned runs, and added two hits at the plate. Amiya Tibbetts had three hits, including a triple.

Forest Hills (3-4) had five hits.

BASEBALL

FOREST HILLS 12, CARRABEC 1: Maddox Cuddy struck out 13 over six innings as the Tigers topped the Cobras in North Anson.

Liam Achey and Aaden Nadeau each collected two hits and two RBIs for Forest Hills (3-3). One of Acheys hits was a triple.

Logan Caldwell had two hits for Carrabec (2-4).

BUCKFIELD 10, RANGELEY 0: Gabe White had the Bucks’ (3-4) only hit, a grand slam that highlighted the five-inning victory over the Lakers (0-7) in Rangeley.

The rest of Buckfield’s runs were unearned. The Bucks plated two runs in the first, two in the second and put the mercy rule into effect with six in the top of the fifth inning.

Buckfield pitcher Aidan Savage allowed only one hit and one walk while striking out eight batters.

Ryder Sargent had the Lakers’ lone hit.

GIRLS LACROSSE

CONY 17, OXFORD HILLS 8: Abby Morrill scored five goals and Gabby Vachon netted four to lead the Rams (6-2) past the Vikings (1-5) in Augusta.

Paige Logan, Katelynn Dutil, Rylin Miller and Emma Buccellato added two goals apiece, and Avery Maxim made seven saves for Cony.

Gracie Hart led Oxford Hills with five goals. Lydia Goyette scored two and Abby Marcotte and Mallory Kennagh each had one. In goal for the Vikings, Jasmyn Pierla stopped 13 shots and Autumn Palmer stopped five.
