For all the headlines criticizing the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, what’s missing is the good news: this bill is a win for American jobs, workers and the small businesses that keep our communities running.

Many of the small businesses shut down during the COVID pandemic and we need to bring them back. The United States was built on entrepreneurship.

Right now, the people creating jobs and keeping folks employed are looking for stability. This bill delivers that by making it easier for businesses to invest, hire and grow right here at home. It permanently extends the 100% expensing provision, which allows businesses to write off the full cost of equipment and machinery. That means they can afford to upgrade tools, modernize operations and expand, creating jobs in the process.

For small businesses, the bill locks in the 20% tax deduction on income, known as the Section 199A deduction. This deduction helps local shops, farms, contractors and family-owned businesses stay competitive and keep their doors open.

Regulations have killed the little guy and that needs to change so that we can keep our small businesses open. Especially the farmers … no farms, no food.

It rewards companies that build in America by letting them fully deduct costs for new factories, refineries and agricultural facilities right away. That’s good news for rural areas, manufacturing towns and construction workers.

The United States has lost many good-paying jobs to overseas companies. The America first agenda is good for the middle-class worker — more jobs, more businesses.
