PITTSFIELD — April McAlpine, Kali Doiron and Victoria Friend each had a hat trick to lead Maine Central Institute past Maranacook 14-0 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B field hockey game Thursday.

Riley Trafton, Allison Hughes, Taylor Hall, Madisyn Hartley and Addi Williams added a goal apiece for the Huskies (1-0). McAlpine also had four assists. Mikayla Carr and Elspeth Taylor combined to make one save.

Sarah Mason stopped 10 shots for Maranacook (0-1).
