WASHINGTON — With the convention speeches finally delivered and dissected, Republicans and Democrats will return to Capitol Hill next week ready to get some work done, if only to prove to voters that they are better than Congress’ nearly single-digit approval rating indicates.

WASHINGTON — As President Barack Obama prepares to make his re-election pitch tonight, Maine Democrats attending the party’s convention in Charlotte, N.C., said they believe the president needs to highlight his work on behalf of the middle and working classes to win over undecided Maine voters.
