Shuttered Hallowell addiction treatment agency under investigation for fraud allegations

The agency reportedly owes more than $300,000 to MaineCare, the state’s Medicaid program.

The City Council will decide on how to request funds for projects including the redevelopment of Stevens Commons and the Water Street reconstruction.

Despite requests by some to delay the project, the bridge will be replaced over a 55-day construction period late next year.

The council will continue talking about how to approach the legalization of recreational marijuana at January’s meeting.
